Thanks for all the help Nicole. It was a fun morning.

Tuesday evening I checked the Wednesday WOD and it said “Muscle Ups”, followed by Double Unders and Prowler. I still have no muscle to up, and I am just learning to do single unders, is it even necessary to say I wasn’t too eager to go into the Box the next day? But I did. At 6:30. And no one else did. It was just me and Nicole. She joked that the 6:30 class was filled with cherry-pickers.

As I finished my warm-ups, Nicole asked me what I wanted to do. Then she offered me the Monday WOD that I missed due to work commitments. Before I agreed I asked what the WOD was. She told me it was to find my one rep max on Strict Press, Back Squat and Deadlift. I was all for that.

So she gave me up to 15 minutes to find my max on each movement.

I was able to increase my Strict Press from 75 to 90 pounds.

I was able to increase my Back Squat from 165 to 175.

I was able to increase my Deadlift from 220 to 230.

Thanks to Nicole’s patience and encouragement I was able to get 3 PRs in a single session. I haven’t experienced that thrill since February. It was nice.

I checked the WOD for Thursday, “Jackie” is waiting for us and I know we all love Rowing 1000 m for time, followed by 50 Thrusters. I hope all the girls from the Victor School are back for more fun. Though I had a great day with Nicole, I miss my 6:30 cherry-pickers.
