I occasionally stop at the Acton Coffee House for a cappuccino and an opportunity to write.
Strangely I have stopped at this location for many years, long before the widespread proliferation of cell phones, tablets, and WiFi.
In 1990 I used to stop there and use paper and pencil to write. At that time, it was a coffee shop called The Daily Grind.
They had to change their name, and it became Key West Coffees & Teas.
Years later, a nice Persian gentleman bought the shop and Cafe Ziba was in this same location. For the record, that was my favorite incarnation of this coffee shop locale.
Now it is the Acton Coffee House.
I joked with a young man at CrossFit 2a yesterday that I have a coffee mug older than he is. The proof is in the photo (click on the image). Under The Daily Grind, is the date May 8, 1990. My coffee mug is 24 years old. My young friend isn’t.
