Just last Friday I was chatting with Maria and Kim after the 5:30 WOD.
We were rambling on about how we are all amazed how CrossFit progress can sneak up on you if you’re not paying attention. You can go for what seems to be forever without performing a specific strength movement and when you revisit it, you blow it away.
Today was a classic example. It’s been a couple weeks since we did Back Squats, but most of the 5:30 crew were able to achieve PRs today.
- Mary lifted 120#
- Deb B. lifted 130#
- Diana lifted 160#
- Chuck lifted 185#
- Deb M. lifted 195#
- Kim lifted 200#
- Zach lifted 275#
There may have been more, but these are the ones I saw on the wall. I am sure the other classes saw similar improvements. It is a good thing we had some positive reinforcement during the strength training, because the WOD was miserable. Stay cool!
